I Am My Papacita

I is my daddy. its freaky.

so i discovered a few things about myself over this last weekend. 1. i did indeed come from my daddy and was not a spawn of the mailman as he always told me and 2. because of discovery number 1 i learned a bit about myself.

subject A. i talk an absurdly ridiculous amount with my hands. THAT came from my dad.

subject B. i have some sort of strange obsession with music. granted everyone loves music, but it is entirely different for me i can assure you. music has such a phenomenal way of displaying feelings not explained. that is the summary of me, not being able to explain how i feel. its complicated. THAT came from my dad

subject C. i have probably the scariest most dramatic dreams ever known to a human girl. haha, its messed up. until this weekend i forgot my dad also has entirely too vivid movies running through his head at night. he only dreams about being killed, or killing, in one way or another. freaky! THAT came from my dad

subject D. and last but not least. i got a compliment on my smile and remembered how lucky i was to have, not a gorgeous one, but a pretty decent smile. i have nothing to complain about i guess. if you've seen my dad, you probably know that we have the exact same mouth. also freaky. and rare...unless you have an extremely prominant characteristic, which i do not. anywho. THAT, my dears came from my dad.

along with a few other things i wont mention. (my flat feet, oily skin, stubbornness, independancy, fast legs, smarts, and perfectionism)

so thank you dad for making me who i am... : ) i do truly appreciate it

Snapshot of a Life.

So i was driving home tonight. i was able to catch a glimpse of several peoples lives. how might you ask? it was the weirdest thing. seriously.

one minute i was driving. i stopped at a stoplight, i was zoned out listening to jonas brothers right? then i hear tires squeal and cars zoom. i look up and of course 2 cars are peeling out to

race each other. some nice sports car and some... well, other car. it was ugly and ghetto. thought it was funny. i giggled a little and then continued to watch them and they crossed the street and ran out of their lanes to try and beat each other. um scary! you could kill someone people. sheesh. nothing special though right?

then my light turned green and i continued on my merry way. i see flashing blues and reds. what else? 3 cop cars, and several other "official" vehicles were pulled over. i take a closer look and they are searching somebodys car. poor guy. truck open, all doors open, and even the hood. what in the...

then i was just reminiscing about the rest of my day, i run into alot of crazy people, especially at my work. the good ol OG. that stands for Olive Garden just in case you didnt know. in FACT! we call it, "THE OG." like, "the OC" only better cause this is real life craziness and it happens to me. but its not really better, because its drama nevertheless.

FULL OF IT.

my manager got fired apparently. for some crazy reason, who knows why. im not really sure if i should be writing about that on this here computer. we shall skip that. but take a look into her life. not fun. some people came in having girls nights to destroy their sorrows about dumb boyfriends, families celebrating family pictures and the fact that they were actually accomplished, a 16th birthday party, newborn babies. all sorts of different lives here. its really awesome to see. we all live in the same place yet... we're all so different and the events taking place display that. its craziness.

but speaking of snapshots of lives, heres one of mine. my goodly friend haley is getting married.

i could not be happier for her.

met "the boy" today. hes great. lucky for me i get to be involved with the wedding in 2 ways. one... i soooorta get to be a bridesmaid. we're not officially calling it that, but basically thats what it is. im her girl. haha. secondly, i get to photograph her wedding! wahoo! yes, so stoked for that. shes letting herself be in my profolio. its gonna be great. the wedding is in 18 days, but whos counting right? well... she is haha. anyway, today was her bridal shower and it was sooo great. had a blast. i really cant wait for her big day. she deserves it. here are some ACTUAL snapshots from the day.

get a load of this crap. natashas toilet paper dress...

ok so mine kinda fell apart before i even got to the runway. at least i put on a good show for everyone to laugh at. and none of you, NONE OF YOU, can deny that you laughed. and you laughed hard. we so should have won.

told ya. nonstop laughter. it was so great.

ok. sorry haley. i just had to post this. so! heres the equation... martinellis, the loofa, add some candles, a little skimpy redness, and you get a pregnancy test hahaha. a positive one.

all of us GREAT friends. i heart you guys : )

so thats about it.

what does your snapshot say?

Saturday is a special day...

Just sincerely curious as to why Saturdays are so great. Besides the fact that there is no school and you get to sleep in... man, i just love em. Here are some of my many reeeeeasons!

- waking up to a new fresh day is always great.

- the sun streaming in from the windows feels different somehow on Saturdays.
-lets not forget sleeping in, quite possibly the greatest remedy for any symptom you might have.

- again, no school. and for those lucky enough, no work. (I however am not included in this catagory.(

- family day! and i love my family.

- trips to the sprinkler store, laundromat haha, and super saturdays at the church are the best.

-you can CLEAN! and who doesnt love a clean everything?
- yummy breakfasts you never have time for besides weekends. hmm, maybe consisting of eggs and bacon, french toast, cinnamon rolls? mmm. orange juice. yes...
- hmm i guess thats all i can think of for now. love saturday. just do.
